With over 100 physiotherapists at our Geneva centers, many people are passionate about knee rehabilitation. This group forms our knee expertise cluster, which meets regularly to exchange knowledge and the latest news. Their mission this year: to pass on this information to the whole group.
All our physiotherapists have the opportunity to join a center of expertise of their choice. Regardless of experience, what counts among the groups is rather the shared determination and passion to deepen their knowledge around a particular field – the knee. This group includes 5 of our physiotherapists and meets six times a year.
Scientific day
A wide range of topics
Several topics were covered, including ACL rehabilitation, muscle strengthening and the importance of sensory-motor rehabilitation. Discussions also focused on meniscus injuries, with strategies for pre-habilitation and post-operative rehabilitation. Emphasis was placed on the importance of a personalized approach to achieve the best results.
High-level interventions
We were fortunate to welcome Professor Jacques Menetrey, a specialist in orthopedic surgery, and Dr. Nicolas Rolland, sports medicine expert, who works at the Clinique Hirslanden La Colline. Their presentations shed new light on knee rehabilitation techniques and approaches, offering a different perspective from that of physiotherapists.
Practical workshops and exchanges
Employees were also able to take part in workshops. These sessions provided an opportunity to put into practice the techniques covered and to discuss them directly with the knee expertise center.
The Journée Scientifique Rééducation Genou brought together all our physiotherapists and enriched our collective understanding of rehabilitation. We look forward to seeing you at the next event.
